What to Expect from Our Athletic Trainer

Free Consultation and Demonstration
ElitePerformance will provide a free consultation for individuals who are interested in learning more about the services we provide. This consultation includes a demonstration of our assessment and training techniques, and a summary of what to expect from our customized training programs. Our goal is to provide a program that meets your needs or the needs of your group.

Comprehensive Evaluation
For Individual or Small Group Training programs, the comprehensive evaluation will establish a baseline of cardiorespiratory fitness, body composition, flexibility, muscular strength, and muscular endurance. The total time for the comprehensive evaluation is approximately 1 hour. Large Group Training participants will receive a shorter evaluation.

Evaluation Instructions:

  1. Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothes that will easily allow a person to perform various tasks such as running, jumping, pull-ups, push-ups, and stretching.
  2. Avoid food, alcohol, and caffeine at least 3 hours prior to the evaluation.
  3. Drink plenty of fluids during the 24 hours before the evaluation.
  4. Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours before the evaluation.
  5. Get plenty of rest or sleep (6-8 hours) on the night before the evaluation.

Training Program
Following the evaluation, a personalized program is developed based on the specific needs of the client. Each meeting will consist of explanations of techniques, refinement of movements, and an intense guided concluding workout.

At ElitePerformance, we want to build confidence in your athletic skills. We’ll develop workouts suited to the trainees, not counterproductive workouts intended for show. Over-training and burnout are commonly found in athletes from beginning to advanced level. We want to keep the clients’ performance at their peak, not drive them over a cliff. And we want our clients to be able to blaze across the finish line with their head-up not ready to pass out but ready to walk it off (or shake it off), please with their effort.
